Which is bettter: Cable or Satellite?

This is a very difficult question for me to answer as I have not personally tried both services. My cable company is Adelphia Communications. They offer cable services and high speed internet service. I have been quite satisfied with the service, clarity of picture, and selection of packages they offer. I only recently added hi-definition tvs to my home. I had some isses with clarity and reception due to some outdated equipment in my attic, damaged wiring outside, etc. I thank Paul and Joe in the Delray Beach office for fixing the problems. They had wonderful follow through and obviously a lot technical ability, were very cheerful about assisting me, and got the job done in a very timely manner. Now, I am amazed with the clarity of picture I am receiving. It is like the tv personalities are standing in my home. My cable is very reliable and rarely goes out. In fact, I had uninterrupted cable broadcast through hurricanes Frances, Gene, and Ivan. I don't know about Wilma, because I had no power with which to run the tv.

I do have friends who have Direct TV satellite and are happy with their service too. The only complaint I have heard from them is that the reception goes out during bad weather. When the reception is available, it is also quite clear and I believe they offer a variety of packages too.

As far as high speed internet access. I use BellSouth. Each and every time I have had a problem they have fixed it in a timely manner. I have been very pleased with the dsl and with BellSouth's service. I plan on trying Adelphia Communication's high speed internet access soon as I have heard it is even faster, so please check back for an update on that.
